" Shola has been instrumental in my pursuit of great personal fitness, controlling my eating and ultimately losing weight and feeling better! I started training with Shola in mid-summer 2011, I was 29 years old, 173 pounds at an average stature of 5 feet 6 inches. My goal was to lose 15 pounds so that I could run a half marathon in under 2 hrs. Shola worked with me as a whole, she had me keep a food log so I could see what I was taking in each day then worked with me each week on improving what I put in my body as well as giving workouts I could do on my own based on our training sessions. She worked with me as a whole and I took her seriously as she did my training. I lost a total of 16 pounds in just under three months, I have kept the weight off and feel great! I also beat my personal record in the Big Sur Half Marathon in November 2011 with a time of 1 hr and 52 minutes which is 13 minutes faster than any other half marathon I have ever run. " When I first joined Shola’s fitness classes back in 2007, I was so intimidated by those GroupX classes but I was determined to get myself together. Although Shola whooped my ass every day and got in my face on a regular basis, every time I looked at her sideways for all the one-arm push-ups, she was such a positive force in my life. She made me look forward to pushing myself to exhaustion, so much so that I my own regular spot in her class right in the front. In her class I lost 70 pounds in one year. More importantly, I gained the confidence and strength to make a lot of other changes in my life that have led me to where I am today. Love you Shola!
